TILLAMOOK, Ore. – The ODFW Tillamook office will host a meeting on Tuesday, March 7 to discuss the process for setting the 2023 coastal salmon season for the North Coast. The meeting will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. in the conference room at the Oregon Department of Forestry, 5005 Third St.
The meeting will be informational only to discuss the process, timeline and current data pertinent to fall Chinook and inland wild coho seasons.
All data needed to determine seasons is not available yet, so there will not be any discussion of potential regulations. The primary purpose of the meeting is to increase awareness of the process and what anglers can expect as ODFW develops fall fishery proposals through the spring.
