The weather forecast continues to look favorable for the weekend. “A switch to onshore flow increases RH from north to south as today progresses. Wetting rains arrive late Friday with additional rounds expected areawide over the course of the next week.”
Thursday Oct. 21st and Friday morning, Oct. 22nd conditions remained extremely dry, especially at higher elevations.. so remain careful until we actually get the weather.
With that, we are preparing for the end of fire season. If the wet weather plays out over the weekend, and if the long range forecast remains favorable, we could exit fire season early next week. It is time to make last minute preparations for wet weather. Make sure to have water bars in place, equipment moved, and other preparations in place to maintain water quality.
More to come, including hopefully and end to fire season next week.
