We’re starting work on June 19. Plan ahead, OR 47 is closed for a few weeks while we apply the permanent bridge surface. After the new surface is applied, it’ll take a few days to cure before we can reopen the bridge.
This work is weather dependent, so our schedule may change.
While the bridge is closed you can take:
- Northbound detour: take OR 6 to southbound U.S. 26, use Exit 55 onto NW Dersham Road, left onto westbound U.S. 26.
- Southbound detour: take U.S. 26 to OR 6.

We want to thank you for your patience last year while we were replacing the OR 47 West Fork Dairy Creek Bridge in Banks.
We’re finishing construction this year by installing the permanent bridge surface. We didn’t have good enough weather last year, so we installed temporary asphalt to reopen the road. The permanent bridge surface will be a polymer concrete that requires specific conditions to install and for the material to set. Using polymer to bind the concrete makes it less likely to crack, more durable and resistant to conditions caused by changes in the weather. Now that we have warm and dry weather, we can remove the temporary asphalt surface and replace it with the permanent concrete bridge surface. For more about this project CLICK HERE |
