Posted on October 1, 2024 by Editor

Thank you for your patience!

First, a big thank you to everyone who helped keep our crews safe during the 24/7 single lane closure these past several weeks. This work was necessary to build the new bridge.

Next steps

The 24/7 single lane closure is expected to end by 6 p.m. tonight, Sept. 30. We’ll remove the hard barrier that was in place helping protect our crews. Please use caution when driving through the work zone!

October 1 – October 23:

Starting today, Oct. 1 through Oct. 23, we may need to have intermittent single lane closures that can occur during the day or night.

October 7:

On Oct. 7, we’re transitioning from intermittent single lane closure to a few more days of 24-hour single lane closures. The length of this closure is necessary to place and cure the top layer of the bridge surface, which will help make the bridge strong and last years to come.

We know these closures and delays can be frustrating and we greatly appreciate everyone’s patience. We’re very excited to begin wrapping up this work now that the new bridge has been built.

Remember that fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
