Join our team! Tillamook OSU Extension Service is looking for a Master Gardener and Small Farms Coordinator. The OSU Extension Service engages the people of Oregon with research-based knowledge and education that strengthen communities and economies, sustain natural resources, and promote healthy families and individuals. The Extension Service has a presence in each of the Oregon’s 36 counties.
This full-time Master Gardener and Small Farms Coordinator position is based at the OSU Extension Service Tillamook County Office in Tillamook, Oregon. This Master Gardener and Small Farms Coordinator develops and conducts educational programs and contributes to applied field research activities in topic areas relevant to commercial small farms and community horticulture. This position provides leadership for the Tillamook County
Master Gardener volunteer program. In this role the Master Gardener and Small Farms Coordinator oversees volunteer recruitment, training and retention; organizes volunteer middle managers; and collaborates with the local Master Gardener Association. The incumbent is expected to develop community horticulture classes in coastal gardening for the general public, for delivery personally or through volunteers or other collaborators.
The duties for this position are 75% Master Gardener and 25% Small Farms.
