There was a time, a long time ago,
When young children danced around the May Pole.
Holding long colorful ribbons attached to the pole, they skipped and danced and when they were done . . .
They continued their fun by filling baskets with bright Spring flowers,
Then after placing them on a neighbor’s porch, they rang the doorbell and started to run.
In today’s environment, we could continue the celebration.
Perhaps the Maypole would be out of the question,
However, we could continue the practice of giving flowers to our neighbors in a pretty vase or even a glass,
And always remember to be wearing your Face Mask!
