Here is the most recent information from the Portland District, US Army Corps of Engineers, May 3, 2024:
“The contractor is delivering jetty stone to the stone barge loading facility at the Port of Garibaldi. Stone is being temporarily staged at that location. We anticipate that the contractor will begin barging the stone across the bay to an offloading facility at Kincheloe Point on Bayocean Spit within the next couple of weeks. From there, the stone will be transported to temporary staging areas on the project site. Further updates will be provided once the start date for stone placement on the jetty is known.”
The Port of Garibaldi appreciates your understanding and cooperation during this project, port staff will do our best to help minimize the impacts to tenants, guests, and the community.
