“Repairs of the Tillamook South Jetty will continue later this year and will be focused on the seaward (west) end of the jetty. The repairs will include re-establishing a jetty head past the current, visible end of the jetty (where the jetty is currently submerged) and also repairs to the trunk of the jetty adjacent to the head. As part of preparing for additional jetty stone placement for the repairs this year, the contractor will soon start constructing a haul road on top of the jetty from the root of the jetty at Bayocean Spit, towards the seaward end of the jetty.
The road construction is expected to be completed within the next couple months. Stone placement is expected to start later this summer.”
We will provide further updates as we get them. The public can sign up to receive construction updates including when work will begin, road closures and other public safety messages by emailing the USACE at cenwp-construction@usace.army.mil
