The results are in for the May 21, 2024 Primary Election – and nearly 37% of Tillamook County voters returned their ballots, compared to a statewide turnout of 28%.
The unofficial results (mailed in ballots are still being counted) – show that for Tillamook County Board Commissioners Position #1, incumbent Erin Skaar has sufficient votes to secure the position without a run-off in November (50% plus one vote), and for Position #2, Paul Fournier will be filling that seat, also achieving well over 50% of the vote in that contest. For County Assessor, KaSandra Larson is the top candidate.
For State Repsentative, District 32, incumbent Cyrus Javadi has secured the Republican candidacy; and Logan Laity running unopposed will be the Democratic candidate, setting up a rematch from two years ago.
The Tillamook Fire District levy increase is failing – 1342 – NO; 1016 – YES.
