Rockaway Beach Fire & Rescue Department held their annual banquet and presented members with service plaques, special recognition and lifetime plaques on February 5th. Local volunteer fire departments are in need of more volunteers as calls for service continue to increase while volunteers membership declines. Volunteer firefighters are necessary to provide the services needed in our rural communities – those that run toward an emergency to help their neighbors. For more information about contact Todd Hesse, Fire Chief at thesse@corb.us. Thank you to the men and women who selflessly undertake hours of training to help those in need.
