(SEASIDE, Ore. – Nov. 1, 2023) – The suspect wanted in connection with an early morning attack, vehicle theft and high-speed chase that spanned from Seaside to Hillsboro on Oct. 27 has been taken into custody.
Isaiah J. Thompson, 18, was arrested without incident at approximately 7:44 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31 by Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a tip from Seaside Police investigators. He was taken into custody on a Washington County warrant for eluding police.
Thompson was then transferred to Clatsop County Jail to face charges of Second Degree Attempted Murder, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, First Degree Robbery, Unathorized Use of a Vehicle, Eluding, and Reckless Driving. He was booked into Clatop County Jail at 1:45 a.m. this morning, Wednesday, Nov. 1.

The victim of the Oct. 27 attack has been released from the hospital. The victim was being treated at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria and had been listed in critical condition.
