What about South County Oregon State Parks?
Here’s the run down from Kirk Barham, Oregon State Parks Cape Lookout unit manager:
Cape Lookout campground opens June 9th, however the Day use area remains closed through July 1st to allow us time to finish removing hazard trees and to complete the installation of a safety fence along some steep cliffs this delayed opening also includes Cape Lookout Trailhead and parking lot.
Bob Straub state park opened on Saturday May 30th from 9am to 8pm
Sitka Sedge state natural area opened on Saturday May 30th from 8am to 8pm
Munson Creek Falls state natural area opened Saturday May 30th from Dawn to Dusk
Symons state scenic viewpoint and beach opened May 30th from Dawn to Dusk
Oceanside State Recreation area remains closed until further notice.
Cape Meares state scenic viewpoint and lighthouse remains closed until further notice.
Clay Meyers at Whalen Island will be opening alongside the county campground which is tentatively scheduled to open on a limited basis July 1st.
Mcphillips beach and Tiera del Mar beach along with Cape Kiwanda beach which are all part of Cape Kiwanda state natural area are currently open to pedestrian access only. Driving on the beach is prohibited until further notice as part of a joint agreement with Tillamook county.
