Dear fans of Cloud & Leaf Bookstore—
I am writing an extra newsletter this month to address the current crisis of Covid-19, and what it may mean for the bookstore, this community, and beyond.
Since taking over the bookstore last year, I have heard repeatedly from customers about what Cloud & Leaf Bookstore means to this community. Of course, I already knew, having lived here for five years, and been a customer myself for longer than that. It is part of the beating heart of Manzanita, and has become one of the biggest priorities of my life.
As we face uncertain times, I would like to say that if you are planning on hunkering down, and would like to stock up on books for a period of isolation, now is the time to get what you need. There is no way to know how available the store will be in the near future, but I am doing everything in my power to make it as available to you as I can. We are also taking all recommended precautions by sanitizing the store throughout the day, and our hands after every sale.
There are several things I can offer at the moment, starting with hardcover books marked at 10% off. All paperbacks 5% off.
If you would like to make a purchase, but cannot come into the store, either now or going forward, we have a couple of options.
1. If you live locally, call the store or email an order, and we will drop off your purchase at your home at no cost. If you live outside of the area, we will ship books to you for free.

2. Alternatively, you can order online through Bookshop.org using our affiliate link, and we will receive a small portion of the sale. https://bookshop.org/shop/cloudleaf
Lastly, if there is anything we can do to help those in this community who cannot help themselves, please let us know. We are ready to do so.
Thank you, as always, for your generous support. We are hoping for the best, and sending warmest wishes to you all.
