Teen night, held the third Friday each month in Nehalem, was an amazing experience. I have been running this program for some time, and it just keeps getting better and better. We had over 15 very diverse teens last night, who showed up not to just play pinball, but to connect to each other. Yes, they played pinball, but also there were chess games, art projects, conversations, and so much laughter. I am buoyed by the energy of our youth, and their compassion, their intellect, and the respect and caring for each other that they embody.
Special thanks to Beth Hope for bringing her touchstone project to teen night last night. Thank you for facilitating rich conversation, and holding a kind space while the kidz worked on their personal touchstones, and other art projects.
Also, a huge shout out to Will Irace for allowing us to continue to take over his space, North Coast Pinball, for our monthly teen night. Thank you for being so generous with your time, and your support of HUGGS and our focus on creating safe, creative, fun spaces for our local teens.
Teen night is every third Friday of the month from 6-8 PM at North Coast Pinball. Please, send your teens in for free fun!
