The Deadline to file for candidacy for City Council Position or Mayor is August 30th.
In order to file you must have, by the 30th of August completed ALL of the following steps:
1. The SEL 101 and SEL 121 election forms have been reviewed and approved by the City’s Elections Official.
2. After your forms have been approved, you will need to collect 20 signatures (from Manzanita Voters) as required by the City Charter.
3. Once you have collected your 20 signatures you must submit those to the City Elections Officer for verification by the County Clerk.
All three steps must be completed and signatures must be verified by August 30th so if you are interested in running, please schedule an appointment with the city elections official soon!
To run for office in the city you must be a registered voter in the City of Manzanita for at least one year per City Charter.
