THE OCEANSIDER: ODOT CLOSES HIGHWAY 131 FOR REPAIRS AT 8 A.M. SATURDAY, FEB. 15 THROUGH SATURDAY, FEB. 22; CAPE MEARES LOOP ROAD HAS BEEN REOPENED

The Oregon Department of Transportation has alerted local agencies that Highway 131 will once again be closed for repairs starting Saturday, February 15. at 8 a.m. ODOT estimates that the closure will continue until Saturday, February 22.  ODOT did not indicate that it will open Highway 131 at night or on weekends as it had before, so assume it is completely closed. We will get out a notice if that changes.

To reach Highway 101 and points west, Oceansiders are advised to use Cape Meares Loop Road to Bayocean Road, which then meets Highway 131 west of Tillamook. Cape Meares Loop Road was closed due to icy conditions but has now been reopened.
