The Cape Meares Loop relocation project is nearing its final stages a decade after landslides forced its closure. Project spokesman John Henderson announced that paving began this week after a delay due to the spate of heavy rains that crossed the area in late September. Tillamook County Public Works Director Chris Laity was scheduled to provide more details at the October 7 meeting of the Oceanside Neighborhood Association, but illness forced both Laity and the ONA Board to postpone the briefing. The Oceansider will reach out to Director Laity this week for any details he can provide about when the road will reopen. Project updates are also regularly available on the Public Works Facebook Page.
