Here is the Bistro’s Facebook post about receiving this award:
“We’re still floating after a great night! What an honor and what a surprise!
And without preparing a speech last night, below is a much more eloquent way to say thank you.
In October 2018 we took the biggest risk we’ve ever taken by purchasing an older building that needed a lot of tender loving care.
But, Dennis and I believed in each other and our vision. And we spent one year, alongside faithful volunteers and patient employees, building what would become our new Bistro Home. In Sept 2019 we opened our doors to a resounding warm welcome.
We learned a lot, we saw a lot, we cried a lot and laughed a lot. But most of all we grew personally and professionally A LOT.
There really is no way to truly express our gratitude to everyone involved in this project. We will forever be grateful, forever be humbled and forever be in your debt. May we return the favor by always trying our best to be what our community expects and deserves.
Thank you”
