Ten local organizations engaged in the tourism industry were honored at the annual tourism awards banquet February 21, 2025 at the Tillamook County Creamery Association’s Red Barn, attended by over 100 people connected to the industry. The event was organized by the Tillamook Coast Visitors Association.
Their successes in leveraging the Tillamook Coast Visitors Association grants, are funded from transient lodging tax revenues. Their business assets and entrepreneurial spirit have enhanced and added recreational opportunities throughout the county. Businesses and projects from every part of the county were recognized.





- Cultural Heritage – Tillamook County Historical Society – accepted by Sally Rissell for the Cloverdale historical photo murals
- Outdoor Recreation – Blimp Base Disc Golf Course – Tillamook School District and Port of Tillamook Bay recipients, accepted by Slade Sapora and Michele Bradley
- Culinary/Agritourism – Josi Farms – DJ and Jaimie Josi and family
- Community Stewardship – Cape Meares Community Association – accepted by Beverly Stein
- Marketing – Pacific City Dory Fishing -Mark and Linda Lytle, and Nordic Pirate Fishing Guide – Jim Skaar
- Business Development – Twins Ranch – Cindy and Larry Oswald
- Accessibility – Sand Dollar Restaurant and Lounge – Emma Heathershaw
- Arts and Culture – Riverbend Players – Frank Squillo
- Destination Management – City of Manzanita – accepted by Mayor Kathryn Stock and Council President Linda Kozlowski
Hosted by Tillamook Coast’s executive director, Nan Devlin, the banquet featured locally sourced foods from many farmers and food industry entrepreneurs. “The success of tourism in Tillamook County is due to the dedication and passion of the people and organizations we honored tonight,” said Nan Devlin, executive director of TCVA. “These award winners not only contribute to a thriving visitor economy, but also enhance the quality of life for our communities.”
TCVA extends its gratitude to the Tillamook Creamery for providing a spectacular local venue and catering services for the community celebration.
“This event is about recognizing the dedication of those who go above and beyond to make the Tillamook Coast a remarkable place to live, work and visit,” said Devlin. “We’re honored to celebrate their achievements and the lasting impact they have on our community.”
Several new video documentaries premiered, celebrating the new Cape Meares Loop Road and the addition of a number of handicapped accessible chairs and sites at ocean beaches and businesses. The videos will be used to promote local tourism.
Attendees at this annual event celebrating the tourism industry and its economic contributions received gifts of unique wine glasses decorated with local scenes, offered by Salty Raven.
