The Tillamook Board of Realtors is proud to help facilitate a grant of $5,000 through Oregon Realtors Home Foundation for Tillamook’s Habitat for Humanity. The Board has helped provide this grant for many years, and each year the money is used for the mission of bringing people together
to “build homes, communities and hope”.
This year, according to Habitat’s Briar Smith, Executive Director and Linda Hamilton, H.R. Manager, the money will be used for their Critical Home Repair program (formally know as the Ramps & Rails program). These services help Seniors, citizens with disabilities, and our Veteran population with critical repairs to their homes. Smith explains, “Our Critical Repair Program serves low income homeowners by performing repairs that help them to age in place. These repairs range in magnitude and cost, in the last year we put on two new roofs, built ramps, repaired decks and more. This program is a life changing blessing to recipients – so it’s near and dear to our hearts.”
“Tillamook County Habitat for Humanity is very grateful to the Board of Realtors for helping to facilitate this $5,000 grant” added Hamilton.
As expressed by Mary Kay Campbell, Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Broker, and President Tillamook Board of Realtors, “We are thrilled to be able to continue our ongoing tradition of helping Habitat with their life-changing missions, through this grant and through volunteerism within our membership. Community outreach and partnerships are a significant part of who we are as a Board”.
All money will be used locally in within the boundaries of Tillamook County.
