It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Greg Foster.
Greg was a dedicated water quality volunteer for Tillamook Estuaries Partnership, Board Member of the Nehalem Bay Watershed Council, champion for our estuaries, and husband of our Executive Director, Kristi Foster.
Greg was a brilliant, adventurous, and fun-loving eccentric who loved to cause mischief, playfully offend people’s sensibilities, and make them think outside of the box. He had a love of science, nature, and philosophy. We will fondly remember him with smiles and laughter.
Greg’s family and the TEP Board established a fund to create a memorial place of reflection for future visitors to TEP’s planned Estuary Science Center. This space will honor Greg’s indomitable spirt and devotion to our oceans, watersheds, rivers, and estuaries. A fitting tribute to an inspiring soul. All donations are tax-deductible and will be designated specifically for this purpose – a link is below.
Here’s more about his life and legacy.
