The Tillamook Forest Center is preparing for its annual winter closure starting on November 27, 2023 through March 6, 2024. After a three year closure, this first year back has been full of lots of adventures and wonderful visitors.
Before everyone goes into hibernation this winter, there are still programs to look forward to! This weekend there’s the salmon release walk, Saturday and Sunday, November 18 & 19; and Holiday Wreath Making (registration required) November 24, 25 and 26.
Salmon Release Walk – November 18 & 19 @ 11 am
In the Tillamook State Forest, salmon live in the cool, clear rivers that run through the Coast Range. Join us to explore life cycles, habitat requirements, and the underwater oasis of these dynamic fish. After a short presentation, we will walk to Jones Creek and release the tiny fry that were raised in our visitor center.
Visit our Facebook page for updates as the eggs turn into fry!
Holiday Wreath Making – November 24 – 26 @ 11 am

Registration is required and the deadline is Wednesday, November 22nd. Please call 503-815-6807 to submit payment for registration.
